Goodbye, Zapper

Zapper's Political Statement
Thank you for spending your life with me.
Go find Grama Eddie. You never met her here on Earth, but trust me, she has an awesome lap and gives great hugs.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear that Zapper is gone! I loved to hear her purr on the podcast, and to hear of her various efforts at “helpering.” To lose a companion of such long standing is so hard — my heart goes out to you.

  2. I will miss the purrs in the microphone. They always made me smile. So sorry for your loss. Those darn four legged children really attach to your heart don’t they.

  3. Well, we knew this was coming but it still sucks! Nothing I can say will make you lose that empty feeling in your heart so just know a lot of people are thinking of you and praying you get through this with some sanity left . I also hope when this is all over you can bring yourself to give two new homeless kitties their forever home – when you are ready.

  4. I never met Zapper, but I feel like I knew her. I know your pain at losing a family member. When my dog died in my freshman year of college, I cried so much when I found out that my roommates thought my dad had died. If thoughts and prayers and understanding sent through the miles are any consolation, here are mine added to the mix.

  5. I am thinking about you and your family. Like everyone else, I will miss her purring on the podcast and all the helpering she provided. I am sure she has found Grama Eddie and they are having a great time. Hugs!

  6. I’m so sorry to hear Zapper has left your home, but he will never leave your heart. I will miss hearing about him on the podcast. Our cats are our furry little children. So very hard when one leaves us. Thinking of you…….

  7. Remember the good times! Zapper has a world-wide helper cat reputation. Thanks for sharing your cats with us all. We will miss hearing about Zapper too. Peace and comfort to you and your family.

  8. I was dreading this moment from the minute I heard you talking about her being sick. I can’t imagine what you’re going through I’m terribly sorry. I’ll miss her hollering for sure! She was such a nice helper with your podcasts!

  9. Not sure if you’re a “hugger” but sending you lots of love and virtual hugs (if you want them). She will surely be missed by all! I’ll miss hearing her 🙁 I hope you’re hanging in there.

  10. Pam, I’m so sorry. This has touched me deeply, as we lost our dog of 12 years a month and a half ago. Pets leave an emptiness in our lives, but never leave our hearts!

  11. I was saddened to hear about Zapper.

It brought back memories of when my family lost our Maine Coon Cat/Rag Doll cat, Ashley due to cancer. We missed her a lot but the situation that brought the most tears from each of us in the house was when the vet sent a sympathy card a week after we lost her.

Our other cat Bazil would wander and roam around the house looking for Ashley. This went on for quite a long time. Now he just cries when he doesn’t now we his people are within the house. Ashley has been gone now for six years now and Bazil still is lost without Ashley.
