WIP Wednesday: The One With the Mystery Project

I’ve been working on a project to piece a quilt top, but it’s got to remain a mystery of sorts for now. I’ve also been pulling together fabrics for various Christmas projects, namely this quilt (see picture on right) from the December 2012 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting. I’m planning on doing it in shades of blues for my son’s twin size bed.  My daughter will be getting a full size quilt using some “12 Cats of Christmas” fabric I bought years ago (pattern not identified yet).  All of these should be made using stash fabrics only, so we’ll see how that goes.

I’m also plugging along on my Saturday Sampler blocks for October, which I realize I haven’t posted pictures of yet, so here they are.  The Memories of Provence (on the right) has been pieced into the top – only two more blocks until I can complete that top and quilt it in December!

We are also working on integrating Fred with the kittens. It’s not going smoothly, so we are beginning the tentative steps to find Fred a new home in the event we can’t get him to a place where he won’t try to chase the cats. Suffice to say, my plate is rather full.
