WIP Wednesday: Sew Stitchy

Sewing Machine Cover In ProgressI’ve been wanting to make a sewing machine cover for when my machine is in it’s semi-permanent table.  Since the top of the bed is level with the table, I needed a cover that’s a little shorter than normal. My charm pack of Aneela Hooey’s Sew Stitchy is perfect!

I’m going to quilt it once I get the measurements squared away, so it shouldn’t be a WIP for too long.

Also: bonus shot of the momentos above my sewing machine – Buzz (Georgia Tech’s mascot), R2D2, a small Millennium Falcon, and a picture of Zapper sleeping with her Special Pink Mouse toy (that is one of Morelli’s favorites now).

Scrappy Swoon AlongI’ve also been planning a quilt that will be donated to my kids’ school to be raffled to benefit the playground rehab they just found out has to happen.  The school mascot is the Star, and their colors are blue and yellow, so I’m going to do a giant scrappy Swoon, a la the Scrappy Swoon Along. So far I’ve just picked out my blues (I have LOTS of blues!), but think I might be short on the yellows.

  1. Lovely idea for Sew Stitchy! I’ve still got some remnants of a layer cake… Have lots of fun with all those blues. They’ll look great as a Swoon, I’m sure.
