HtbaS – Episode 129

  1. I didn’t hate the ending of Lost, but I was a little frustrated by it. I watched the whole thing for the first time a few months ago, all six seasons over about a two-month period on Netflix, so I was really wrapped up in it. And the story of the island and the whys of everything was drawn out so gradually – up until the very end of the last season and suddenly WHAM it was done. It wasn’t so much the way it ended that I didn’t like, more that I felt if they’d had about another half season’s worth of time to end it, it could have been a lot more satisfying, even if it ultimately ended the same way.

I really want to read the Sookie Stackhouse books, but I’ve been dithering over whether I should wait until it’s been longer since I watched the first few seasons of the show so my brain won’t end up trying to compare them too much since I gather the show is pretty different from the books. I kinda wish I’d started reading the books before watching the show.

  2. Thanks for your podcast, Pam. I enjoyed your book reviews and seeing your progress on your quilts, Happy Mother’s Day!

  3. Glad to know the Dana Stabenow starting books are still free. I have just ordered her latest from our library.

DH is big fan of Sookie Stackhouse and will read the last one, I’m sure. I get a little confused with the books and shows, kind of like the two realities presented on the last season of Lost. I liked the ending of Lost, but then, being Catholic, I could spin a whole Purgatory thing into the mix 🙂
