HtbaS – Episode 135

It’s a mega whopper of an episode to get you through the week! Language note: I use one mildly bad word (think of a female dog reference) in the middle of the episode. This week is jam packed with teaching a bag workshop, Edyta Sitar, placemats, emergency baby quilts, scrap cutting, and 3 new things I learned about me.

Cutting scraps is exhausting work.

Jett is a goober who likes to helper a lot when I’m cutting scraps.

But I persevered and got all these cut!

  1. We saw WWZ last weekend, too. My favorite part was the teeth chattering. Otherwise I could really take it or leave it. Mostly leave it. The most recent Star Trek is more my speed.

Thanks for the podcast. I always enjoy it & appreciate that you are so dependable getting it out. Have a great weekend!

  2. Yes, I agree with Jane. Thanks for being so dependable on producing your podcast episodes. Love them!

Re: caffeine. I am only allowed 2 caffeine drinks a day and they HAVE to be before 12. If I have one sip after noon, I can’t sleep and I race around the house or office like a crazy person on….oh, caffeine. My drink of choice is Assam Golden Tip tea from Peet’s (you can get it online). Coffee is too hard on my stomach unless I have a “little coffee with my milk.” I haven’t had a Coke in ages, though I did have one sip from one my son was drinking at a recent party. Yum, but I am not going down that road.

Re: Michigan. Thanks for finding the answer. However that is LAME. Really? She lets weather influence her color choices?!? Does she know what she is missing? I live in the fog. It is grey here almost all the time – definitely all summer, lots of November and December. All the time when you all are out at the beach, I am sitting inside wearing a Polartech jacket. In the winter when there is a no fog, it is 40 degrees and I am still inside wearing Polartech. I get it, I guess, but I think she should rebel against the beige and go BRIGHT. OK. Off my high horse on that subject, but I’ll probably get back on for another! ;-).

  3. Thanks for the long episode 🙂 I look forward to them every Friday morning on my commute. You had me laughing a lot in this one! Glad you’re feeling better. Enjoy your day with Edyta…she’s wonderful 🙂

  4. I have to say I am loving your podcast, you encourage me to keep quilting even when I am feeling over it

  5. Gotta tell you that I finished the 20th Kate Shugak and immediately wondered if there was going to be another, since it is a cliffhanger. The short answer is “Yes.” Whew! FYI, Dana Stabenow had her essay book “Alaska Traveler” on iPad for 99 cents recently.

Love the Leaders and Enders method. The quick gratification from a finished block is a kick.

    All the best.
