WIP Wednesday: Quiltingness

UntitledMy chiropractor is probably going to have a very nice Christmas with all the pebbling in the center of the Jingle quilt.  I finished the pebbling yesterday, and started the setting triangle feathers for the pieced blocks.  Not sure yet what I’m going to do for the setting triangles for the applique blocks, but I think I’ll end up pebbling the applique blocks themselves and doing something custom in the pieced blocks.

I’d love to get this done in time to show off at my guild meeting Saturday but I’m not sure that will happen. I’ll probably take it in whatever state it’s in though!

In other news, the cats are guilty of flossing on the Christmas trees.

  1. Beautiful snowflak-y pebbles, I love the texture! And the feathers will look gorgous in the triangles. I’m afraid to put up the Christmas tree as it will be the first one for our kitties even though it’s their 3rd Christmas with us. Did you have any catching-the-ornaments acrobat game going on last year?

  2. Off-topic…just noticed your list of podcasts on the right column of your blog. Yippeee! You have no idea how hard it has been to find a list of good quilting podcasts (surprise, the itunes search abilities are less than awesome) you rock.

  3. the quilt looks gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing the whole thing. I have yet to get our tree up. Still working on getting the house a bit tidier first but think that this weekend it will go up. I only have one cat and he is almost 6 and is getting pretty good with the tree although… always has to have a go at a few things on the tree. I have been busy working on a tie quilt for my cousin’s 70th birthday. That keeps distracting me

  4. What a beautiful quilting job you are doing! It will be gorgeous when your done. I really need to step up my quilting game. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done!
