Sunday Stash - Getting My Fix

Owly ImagesNo logged usage this week, although there has been progress on a couple things.  I’ve got all  9 of the Swoon blocks pieced, with no small thanks to Jett who held them down for me in between stitching.*

*Very small thanks, indeed.

I also put together a little art piece to show at the Arts Festival I’m presenting at Thursday at my kids’ school, but no pics of that until it’s done. It needs thread painting and stitching, and right now just looks like a blob. Or a couple blobs.

I had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket, so I went ahead and spent it on some fabric for the quilt for the Good Mews auction this year. I found a cute cat print to use as a border and some coordinating FQs

  1. here I am back again… your serial commenter (If I did it whilst eating breakfast I would be your cereal commentator but since its mid afternoon…..I’m your coffee commenter instead) Someone had a photo of their cat helping them scan on facebook today…. the paws were very obvious. I thought of you and your helper cats. My helper cat is helpfully asleep on the couch across the room. He is a light coloured cat and his major contribution to life in general is leaving cat hair on as many of the lounge chairs as he can. I got a sad trombone (no finishes) but a whoot as well (no purchases) this week. I am liking… I mean really liking the black and grey fabric that Jett is pointing too. It would go nicely in my black white and touch of red quilt

  2. My nine year old son is into ‘sad trombone’ noises at the moment. I hear them constantly, the soundtrack of my life. And it’s driving his little sister a bit crazy, whereas I am totally zen…….not.

  3. Yeah, I can see Jett progressing really well! You know, if they could learn to lay on things without wrinkling them, they could be really good pressing tools with their high body temperature! :))
