  1. Good job doing Allietare on your domestic. That is one of the good things about taking classes: I always feel confident after and if I do something related to the class soon after, it kind of cements that feeling of confidence.

You could do an exchange with the pinwheels. Give them to someone else who does something with them and then gives them back to you to finish off. Might be interesting. Or look through some books to see if you are inspired.

I was thinking that a quilt frame would be a giant cat trampoline, but it would also, probably, turn into a permanent fort in your living room. Definitely a look, but perhaps not the look you want.

You might be right about the Sewing Expo. I don’t know if they have classes at the one here, but I will have to check that out. It might be a good way to get a class with a teacher we don’t normally see out here.

I think handwork is more about the meditation than about production. that is why I like it. I think I have been making so much progress on my EPP project, because I haven’t had any bindings to sew down. Still waiting for that large quilt to be quilted. See part 2.

  2. Part 2.

It has been awhile since I went to the Sewing Expo, but I didn’t ever notice the garment piece. Perhaps I just ignored/missed that part.

Yay for Susanna Kearsely! I am excited that you read something I recommended. I think reading her other books will give you some perspective on A Desperate Fortune. Try the Winter Storm. I know what you mean, though. Some books just aren’t screaming to be finished. Have you read Serafina and the Black Cloak? It came across as YA to me, but didn’t scream YA and I enjoyed it. It was a quick listen.

    Have a great week!
