HtbaS – Episode 277

It’s the Ask Me Anything episode! I cover everything from the origin of my Pantsfreesia twitter handle, professional wrestling, food and recipes, tattoos, some quilting talk, and what “Pam’ing It” really means.

Here’s the Broccoli Salad recipe I mentioned.

  1. I very much enjoyed this episode. I loved the variety of topics that came up. The mouse story had me rolling. Good job holding it together. I fear I would have caused an accident if I’d seen that mouse sitting there!

  2. This is a great idea. I think that it allowed you to tell a bunch of stories that we all want to know. 🙂

Fun fact (well, to some people): I am not a fan of mayonnaise, mostly because it looks gross. I do, however, eat it as part of chicken salad and some other dishes where it is well disguised. There is a cake or something that I make with mayonnaise that is seriously delicious. It doesn’t taste like mayonnaise, which is the only reason I make whatever the recipe is.

I think I bought one of those hoop things as well. I agree. It never worked for me the way I thought it was supposed to.

I am with you on roasted chicken. Easy dinner, also delicious and as an added bonus you can make broth, thus soup from the bones and leftovers. What’s not to like? (your daughter gets a pass because of her age).

OMG! I love Coming Home, too!! Have we talked about this before? It is a great airplane book. I am so sad that there is no unabridged version on audio. I would love to listen to it on audio. I am sure I would catch some other stuff. My other favorite airplane book is A Town Like Alice. Have you read it?

Well, I had a lot of thoughts, but I couldn’t get them down.

Great job on this episode. Hope you enjoyed your time with your new niece (and with the older ones as well). I’d love to know how your oldest niece feels about these younger siblings.

    Take care!

  3. At our latest Guild meeting, we were entertained by one of your Guild members – Jan Cunningham!! She was delightful. I asked her to tell you “Hi” for me!! I so enjoy your podcasts. They really make me laugh a lot!!

  4. This was great fun! The origin of “Pantsfreesia” was even better than I’d hoped. I agree that the best pants are no pants, and I often remind my husbster in the mornings to tend to “coffee before pants,” because, c’mon, priorities!

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Loved this episode! I think it should be an annual event while you are at the beach. I can’t believe I have never heard the origin story for Pantsfreesia, but that was awesome. Hearing the mouse story again was also fun.

That’s a lot of podcasts! I can barely keep up with my quilty ones. If you enjoyed season one of Serial, did you ever go on to listed to Undisclosed? It is even better and digs a lot deeper. I’m a little obsessed.

Hope you had a great trip!
