WIP Wednesday: Spotlight

This week I’ve been catching up on projects like totebags and quilt tops as a little break before designing writing our next quilt pattern.  Technically our next quilt pattern, Lucky Star, comes out exclusively at Tiny Stitches in Marietta, GA tomorrow for their Christmas in July event.  We’ll bring it out online in a few months, but if you want a sneak peek, you can recall the Jingle Stars quilt of a few months ago.

In terms of quilt tops, the Kaffe top is now done (heretofore unphotographed since it’s a gift), as well as my Sparkling Gems top. I’m back up to a pile-up since that’s now 3 tops waiting to be quilted.  Here is Nina modeling on the Sparkling Gems top:

I’ve also got a new baby quilt project that I’ve just finished the blocks for (no, not for me- sheesh!), and will assemble the center for it as leaders and enders on this next pattern design. Today was a little challenging for my day job, so I’m looking forward to some stitching for the next couple of hours.

  1. Ooh! I’m getting ready to start a quilt with some Kaffe fabrics (Lisa Frank Threw Up on the PNW)– I can’t wait to see yours!

  2. Sitting on a quilt top in the sun light – tough life that kitty leads :-). Sorry it was a rough workday.
