The Stitch TV Show – Episode 219 Audio Only

In this episode of The Stitch TV Show, Pam and Lynn talk about a visit to the Las Vegas Modern Quilt Guild, quilting tourism, and the special case of left-handed quilting.

Our next Virtual Stitch-In is June 16, 2017 at 7 pm US Eastern, and then again on June 16.

This is the audio-only version of the YouTube video, produced as a quilting podcast. See show notes, links to the various things we talk about, photos, and more on The Stitch TV Show page!  I’ll be back next week for the usual solo geeky fare!

  1. You asked how to find retreats …. 1/ I posted retreat locations on our guild web pages … it lists all the place that will book retreats in our state. My goal is to go to the HOLLY SISTERS RETREAT hosted by Sue Nichols and Pat Holly ( major award winners) in Elk Rapids, MI ( http://www.sue-nickels.com/retreats.php ) I go to a local retreat in BEAR LAKE CAMP hosted by a local quilt store three times a year …. it is a blast.

2/ Many local quilt guilds now host or organize their own quilt retreats. If they do not have enough members to go they open it to other guilds. I often see retreats posted on MITTEN QUILT GROUP on Facebook. ROW by ROW stores are now organizing quilt retreats.

3/ In our state we have a CRAFTING NEWSPAPER where retreats advertise availability in the spring. Any craft, yarn, Quilt show, Quilt Store can buy and ad … they then get 100 copies of the newspaper to hand out…. Most savvy quilters KNOW to grab those papers to plan vacations and road trips as it has store locations, hours and specials listed in it.
