HtbaS 317: Software and Such

It’s a catch-up week on the quilting podcast!  I recap a bit of the quilt retreat I went on, talk about my new day job, a weird computer issue, and what’s been going on in my sewing room (spoiler alert: I’m stuck on quilting something! Time to channel some Tim Gunn and just make it work).

Stay in touch! Follow my personal Instagram @Pantsfreesia, or my adventures with Lynn @TheStitchTVShow. Please consider leaving a 5 star review on iTunes for the podcast!

  1. Thanks for your podcast. It’s the perfect thing to listen to on Saturday mornings when I’m preparing my sewing project for the day. You mentioned that you had a bolt of fabric. Any tips on how to get a whole bolt?

  2. Hi Pam, Congratulations on the new job! Sorry about the new office being a longer commute. Will you still have an opportunity to work from home 1 or 2 days a week? Hope you finish the challenge quilt quickly so you can get some less stressful quilts on the machine. You will definitely feel better when you see some quick progress. Lots of change always gave me more “feelings” most of them being of the I can’t do that, what were they, or I, thinking and a desire to hide under the covers with a good book. You have accomplished so much in your quilting and work journey you just need to remeber that :-).

I have worked quilt market and found it to be frenetic at times but fun. Quilters are kind and generous people and you will not be alone as “newbies” and friends like Christa will help you prepare. Samples and booth layout are the biggest challenge and you have them covered!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving break and having your Mom around.

  3. I chuckled at your description of the Michael Miller quilt. Maybe you should name it “Pew Pew Action Madness”. 🙂

Congrats on the new job! I hope you move past the impostor syndrome quickly and remember to trust yourself and your awesomeness.
