The Stitch – Episode 201 Audio Only

We kick off season 2 of The Stitch with a discussion on some of the recent closures in the quilting world, and the benefits of joining a quilt guild.

This is the audio-only version of the video on YouTube. See show notes, photos, and more on The Stitch TV Show page!

NOTE: This audio-only version of The Stitch is replacing my usual weekly HtbaS podcast; I’ll be back solo next week for the usual geeky fare!

  1. I enjoyed this episode, Ladies. I listened while hauling boxes out of the shop ;(

I had to laugh, we actually did have a fabric dyeing class at Quilts Bayou, and it went surprisingly well.

I can relate to your ideas about the prevailing attitudes about bringing children to guild meetings. I understand for some it’s their night out and they don’t want kids around, but a good friend of mine experienced this when she brought her young teen to a guild meeting… Her daughter is actually a quilter, and they still didn’t want her there! Too young. This makes me sad because I feel it’s so important to draw younger people into the craft. This young girl just won a national beta competition with her quilt. It’s a shame she wasn’t welcomed into the traditional guild.

I share your Robyn Pandolph love. I adore her fabrics! I wondered if she is still designing but we couldn’t find any info.
