I think if teachers expect movies, the schools ought to provide the technology.
My kids were issued laptops by the school system in middle and high school (Henrico County in VA). They complained about reliability and battery life, but at least all the kids in the school system had the same access to technology. My kids could all make decent power points by eighth grade, and they helped my husband do his for work. They all learned the importance of backing up their work. It also took a lot of pressure off our home computer since they each had their own. And I wasn’t in charge of making sure the computer worked. There were help desks at school.
Oh technology! Actually having it not work is probably one of the best life lessons. Even with a fully staffed IT department at work, there are still times when nothing goes as planned. Staying calm and figuring out a way to make it work might be even more impressive than a great presentation.
I wonder if opening the app on your Apple device and then exporting would have worked…but I’m sure you tried that too.
You are not alone in your disdain for May. It is actually worse than December and August put together most years! I do remember this episode from each May of the podcast, but I think you are getting a little calmer each year.
I have many WIPs. Some may say that ‘many’ is not an accurate representation. I only consider one an UFO. It may remain that way forever. I don’t have a problem with that. Perhaps the difference between a WIP and a UFO is intention….

I can’t figure out how your cats are all up in your sewing stuff, but don’t seem particularly hell bent on destroying anything. How do they do with the iron? I have two cats, and they make me bonkers when I sew. I also have the cat bed bribe off to one side, but all bets are off when the iron is out. I usually just end up shutting them out so they don’t burn their noses or flip it onto the floor. Yikes!
I feel ya on the end of the school year anxiety. I get it too. Every year! And now that my daughter will be a senior next year, I think I may be feeling it all year long. blech! So many teacher quilts to make. She’s had some truly inspiring teachers that I really want to bless with a quilt. Boy, this year is going to be busy.

Yes, I am #podcastdeliquent again. It took me forever to beautify myself and get the million pounds of clothes together for #politicalwifery and then I was gone and had no time for podcasts. Now I am back in the saddle, but behind.

I know what you mean about stuff in the sewing room. I have been focusing on cutting lately because I have a lot of stuff to cut that has been languishing. I decided just to cut as much as possible. Lo and behold, I am making progress.
If you haven’t read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, you must read it. It is awesome. It is old, but if you haven’t read it, drop everything and go get it.
It isn’t a Hunger Games type book or fantasy or science fiction, but I am really enjoying the Max Tudor mysteries. The first one is Wicked Autumn, I think. The great thing is the writing. The characters have great sarcasm and quips and quotes.
